If you know Dough Hut in Long Beach, New York, then you already know everything I’m about to say. If you don’t know Dough Hut in Long Beach, New York, then I can’t wait for you to go visit and grab a coffee and a donut immediately after reading this.
Long Beach New York is a small city – which means lots on local-owned Long Beach businesses. Dough Hut is one of those and it is amazing to support local small businesses – not to mention businesses that serve that best coffee and donuts in town.
When I first started going to Dough Hut – it quickly became a daily stop in my morning routine. More specifically it was a permanent stop on my morning walk. It’s pretty standard to see me on the boardwalk with a Dough Hut coffee in hand every morning. It took maybe 4 visits for the amazing staff to not on recognize me, but start making my order the moment I walked in.
There’s something special about amazing service and Dough Hut in Long Beach has mastered that and always hires the nicest and friendliest staff.
It’s called Dough Hut – so you would hope there would be good donuts… But they are incredible.
The French Toast donuts are insane. So is the Vanilla Butter Crumb donuts and if you’re lucky on the weekends you can grab a Cannoli donut. Let’s be real – every single donut is amazing and you can’t go wrong.
If I ever have an obligation outside of Long Beach, my last stop before I leave is Dough Hut. My go-to host gift is a dozen donuts from Dough Hut and it is always a crowd pleaser. The donuts are made fresh daily and are pretty well-known throughout Long Island. So whenever you show up with a white box with the blue Dough Hut logo stamped on top, everyone should know the incredible baked goodness that is in store.
I’m not naming names, but some businesses continue to raise their prices to insane numbers – I understand inflation is real and cost of living is increasing. But you know what has maintained it’s prices and stays one of the most cost effective coffee spots in Long Beach. Yup, Dough Hut.
I’ll pay $3.75 for a large Iced Coffee with Oat Milk any day of the week – in fact I actually do. I get this every morning! I may be assuming here, but it’s damn near impossible to find anywhere with a deal like this, when the coffee is SO good, anywhere else on Long Island, let alone in Long Beach.
On any given day when you open the glass door, there is likely to be a dog in line with it’s owner – or multiple dogs waiting outside near the bench.
If you are a dog person who doesn’t do great in the mornings like me, then nothing is better than getting to see the cute dogs of Long Beach every single morning at Dough Hut. Talk about the ultimate AM pick-me-up, getting to pet all the puppies and grab some of the best coffee and donuts in Long Beach, New York. Dough Hut just provides on all fronts.
Dough Hut is located in Long Beach, New York – which means by default the beach is super close. Being located centrally in the West End on Beech Street, not only is Dough Hut easy to get to but after you get your morning coffee you are only a few steps from the beach.
Whether it is a weekday and you are grabbing a coffee before work or a weekend morning with a slow start, getting to enjoy a coffee and a donut on the beach is a great way to start your day. I could be having the worst morning, but once I get my Dough Hut coffee and step onto the sand and see the ocean I know it’s going to turn into a really great day.
