There’s something that happens between turning 18 and being in your 30s that involves forgeting about hobbies and being creative like we did when we were younger. For me it started when work started to consume my life. I noticed hobbies I once loved start to fade into the backseat of my priorities.
I wanted to spend time with friends, go out and meet my potential significant other, and be as successful at work as possible to set myself up for success in the futures. Growing up and starting to adult really comes with a big shift in priorities.
One thing I missed desperately was being creative! I used to love to color, paint, and create small crafts like macrame bracelets and dreamcatchers. But guess what? There’s no reason to shut off the creative part of your brain as you enter your 30s and beyond. Being creative helps keep your mind fresh and is a great outlet to release stress and worries from work and everyday life.
